Fresh Strawberry Pie
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C water
  • 3 T cornstarchs
  • 4 T strawberry jello
  • 1 prebaked pie shell (9″)
  • Red food coloring

Arrange berries (whole or halved or quartered) in pie shell–in 1 1/2 qrt pot add sugar, cornstarch and water–cook until it becomes thick and clear stirring constantly with whisk–add 3 drops of red food coloring and stir in–add 4 T strawberry jello and stir until dissolved–pour this over berries and chill for 2 hrs.

Serve with sweetened whipped cream on top—this is so yummy when strawberries are in season!!!!!!

So fresh that you won’t even need a dollop of whipped cream
